“Live each season as it passes; breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit, and resign yourself to the influences of each.” Henry David Thoreau

Hey Everyone,  Just wanted to wave hello & update you on my hubby.  He is doing well after his 2nd heart attack.  A stent has given him new energy.  It's amazing how good you feel when you are getting some oxygen to the brain.  Two days after hubby came home from the hospital my mom who lives with me had a stroke.  I knew she was freaked out about turning 75 but come on.  As she was opening some birthday cards her glasses fell from her face & she was unable to talk. The ambulance took her straight to a local hospital that has a stroke trauma center.  Mom got the Tpa drug within 1 1/2 of her stroke & the recover has been astounding. So mom is home recovering in one room - hubby in the other. Don't worry about me, I am fine.  Really fine, I'm doing fine.  I know we all find ourselves in seasons of life like this where we are caring for others and it gets hectic. For me, I am taking one day at a time & trusting the Lord just like I do every day.  I am in need of a beach day though & I can see one coming soon.

Take good care,

Karen

  14. Karen, I hope you don't mind but...You've been nominated for the Liebster Blog Award. Come check out my April 17th post for all the details. I think your blog is amazing! I know it's a little time consuming to accept the award but you were the first person to pop in my mind when I was nominated and I read the rules.

This is weird, I left you a note here last night but I don't see it now. Anyway, I am glad that your family is on the mend and I have been thinking about you these last weeks. Hope you get to make it to the beach soon for your sake (and mine as I know you will share) but mostly glad that your mom and husband are recouping so well.
