Once again, we come to the Holiday Season, a deeply religious time that each of us observes, in his own way, by going to the mall of his choice. Dave Barry

No Black Friday shopping for me today. I opted for a walk on the beach instead of the mall.
I saw these black skimmers swirling in the sky off Boca Grande today.
(probably to stay warm - it was chilly for Florida).

After warming up with a thermos full of steaming hot citrus green tea, my friend and I finished off yesterday's leftovers with a turkey, stuffing & Hellman's mayo sandwich.  No good meal would be complete without dessert - pecan & pumpkin pie.  Nice to have a table with a view.

I picked up a rainbow of calico scallops.
Check out more of my beachy fotos on Instagram.

  1. Lovely. I avoid the malls esp. at this time of year. I already have my small gifts for Christmas. I don't give much but this year will give something sentimental to each family member. I hope you are enjoying your Thanksgiving weekend. Hugs. xx

  2. Last night I had a turkey, stuffing, mayo and homemade cranberry sandwich - yum!! Love how you have bare feet. We are bundled up with boots and socks in KY. The cold weather is finally moving in.

"I did not want to live out my life in the strenuous effort to hold a ghost world together. It was plain as the stars that time herself moved in grand tidal sweeps rather than the tick-tocks we suffocate within, and that I must reshape myself to fully inhabit the earth rather than dawdle in the sump of my foibles." — Jim Harrison (Julip)
