Photograph: a picture painted by the sun without instruction in art. ~Ambrose Bierce

I have lots of family in town for a baby shower so guess where everyone wants to go first? - Siesta Key in Sarasota of course.

Sunsets on Siesta Beach are magnificent.  Everyone has their camera out to capture the perfect picture.

The guest of honor at the baby shower is my niece Shweekie.  Here she is posing for her in-laws who are visiting from Romania.
The camera was purchased with the baby in mind.  Let the photo chronicling begin.

Once you take a picture of the kid's name in the sand - it's a done deal.  Julian it is.

The sunset just begs to have it's picture taken.  It's new colors every 30 seconds.

At low tide the light reflects off the sandbars.

I love this girl! Sunset perfection.

"I did not want to live out my life in the strenuous effort to hold a ghost world together. It was plain as the stars that time herself moved in grand tidal sweeps rather than the tick-tocks we suffocate within, and that I must reshape myself to fully inhabit the earth rather than dawdle in the sump of my foibles." — Jim Harrison (Julip)
